Milwaukee Experiential Agency: Brand Activations, Installations and Festival Experiences
Looking for an experiential agency in Milwaukee? NEWaukee is a Milwaukee experiential agency that designs and produces brand activations, installations and festival experiences. We are a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Since 2009 we have built moments people stop for, step into and remember, for brands like Fiserv, Harley-Davidson, North Shore Bank and the Milwaukee Brewers.
We handle the whole thing in-house: the idea, the design, production, staffing, day-of logistics, teardown and storage. Our in-house creative team can also make the content and marketing that bring people to it.
What does an experiential agency do?
An experiential agency creates live brand experiences that people take part in, instead of ads they scroll past. That can be a festival sponsorship, a pop-up, a public installation or a community event. The goal is a moment that earns attention and builds trust.
At NEWaukee, that work usually falls into three types:
Interactive sponsorship activations. Life-sized games, custom furniture, kids' areas and photo moments that turn a sponsorship into something people do.
Large-scale installations and murals. Semi-permanent to permanent structures built to draw attention and give a brand real-time visibility.
Events and festivals. Street festivals, conferences, and community events we design, produce and promote end to end.
How do brand installations work at a festival?
For Fiserv, we designed the Clover Corner inside the Milwaukee Night Market footprint, right outside Fiserv's new downtown headquarters. Fiserv was the presenting sponsor and wanted to meet local small businesses and job seekers.
In the early years, a highly visible shipping container anchored a lounge. Vendors and guests could relax, meet Fiserv employees and learn about Clover and careers. In 2025 we kept the lounge and swapped the container for three custom, interactive photo moments. The activation changed each year so returning guests had a reason to stop again.
Can an installation work beyond one event?
Yes. North Shore Bank's "Be Kind" letters were painted, large-scale installations placed beside select branches and at community events, visible from the road. They were part of the bank's Bank on Kindness initiative. We produced them with the bank, local municipalities, fabricators and muralists.
For the same client, we built the "Bank your Best Life" VR van. Guests played a custom VR game exploring their own "best life," while screens on the outside let onlookers follow along. Oversized games, branded postcards and coloring pages kept the line engaged.
"NEWaukee really understands our brand and who we're trying to reach," said Kate Johnson, VP, Director of Marketing, North Shore Bank.
How fast can an activation come together?
It depends on scale, permits, and fabrication, but NEWaukee’s team is incredibly agile. Harley-Davidson gave us two months to deliver three new Homecoming events across South Milwaukee, West Allis and Milwaukee's East Side. When the Brewers made the playoffs, we planned NLDS watch parties at Davidson Park with one to two weeks of lead time, including a 200" screen, food trucks and giveaways.
"NEWaukee's approach to community driven activation has been vital to the success of our community initiatives this season," said Izzy Lugo III, Director – Experiential Marketing, Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club.
Event and brand installation timelines depend heavily on the scale of the project, ranging anywhere from a few weeks to a full year of planning. For most large-scale events and activations, especially those requiring fabrication, a 4-6 month timeline is ideal.
Do you work outside Milwaukee?
While much of NEWaukee’s work happens in Milwaukee and its suburbs, the team has produced programming nation-wide in cities including Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Tampa, FL; Pittsburgh, PA; Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Sioux Falls, SD; Green Bay, WI and more. NEWaukee’s team regularly travels to host events.
What makes NEWaukee different from a production vendor?
We lead with an idea. Before we pick a backdrop or a game, we ask what the experience is for and what people should do next. Then we design the touchpoints around it.
Our in-house creative team runs the photography, social and PR that carry an activation beyond the day. If brand trust is the goal, our Brand Trust Quotient can measure impact.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Look for published results tied to goals, not just photos. Ask who handles design, production, staffing and teardown, and whether marketing is included. Check that the agency knows the local venues, vendors and permit processes.
-
Costs depend on scale, length, fabrication and staffing. At NEWaukee, we’re happy to work with you to scale an activation to meet your budget.
-
Usually the sponsor pays a sponsorship fee to the event and funds its own activation on top. Some events include space or basic infrastructure in the package. Read the sponsorship terms early so your activation budget is realistic.
-
Give people something to do, a reason to linger and a next step. Fiserv's Clover Corner paired a lounge with photo moments and chances to meet employees. Plan for weather, too: when a Milwaukee Brewers' Night Market activation was rained out, we moved it to Zócalo Food Truck Park.
-
Start with the goal and the audience, then the event or place you want to show up. Share your budget range and dates early. A good agency will tell you what is possible and what to cut.

Yes. Storage is part of our end-to-end production, along with setup, takedown and staffing.
