What school are you going to and what are you studying?

I’m currently attending UW-Milwaukee and majoring in Advertising/PR and Digital Art and Culture.

Where are you from originally?

I’m originally from Neillsville, WI. A town of 2,500 people in Central Wisconsin!

What Milwaukee neighborhood do you live in and why do you love it?

I live on the East Side near UWM. I love easily being able to get to school, the lake and downtown!

What’s your position at NEWaukee, and what do you do?

I’m the Communications and Events Intern. I help with social media and planning events, but I’m excited to see what else I can learn here!

What inspired you to apply to NEWaukee?

One of my classes happened to be doing a research project for NEWaukee, and NEWaukee co-founder Jeremy Fojut came in to give us a little bit of background. After he spoke to us, I knew I had to apply!

How would you describe NEWaukee’s mission in your own words?

To put it short and sweet, NEWaukee’s mission is to create a community and make connections in a place where it isn’t always easy to create one or make those connections.

What NEWaukee event are you looking forward to the most?

Despite it being a Milwaukee staple, I have never been to a Night Market and am most excited for those!

How do you see NEWaukee growing in the future?

I see NEWaukee adding more events that reach different audiences. So no matter your age, you can feel involved in this city.

What’s your favorite album/artist?

I’m a die hard fan of The 1975!

If you were stuck on a desert island, what three items would you bring?

I would have to bring my cat Elio, music and every season of Brooklyn 99.

Where’s your favorite space to go/hang out/eat in Milwaukee?

I love spending time at any Stone Creek Coffee in the area, but in Winter my favorite is the Shorewood location because of the fireplace.
