Lunch Languages by Diverse Dining

Hosted by Diverse Dining

Event Details:

Do you know your Lunch Language? Unbox yourself with Emerald Mills of Diverse Dining as you learn more about the important role food can play in your relationship with yourself and others. You will discover more about the people you work and the clients you serve and walk away with tangible tools and tips to improve your relationships across generations, cultures and other perceived barriers.

Our featured guest on May 27th is Erika Martin, Founder of She Travels The Globe. Erika was born and raised in Florida, but later in life moved to Wisconsin. Her love for travel started at an early age. She took her first trip abroad to Montego Bay, Jamaica, as a teenager. There she discovered that travel was more than seeing sites; it’s much deeper. She learned that travel is a cultural experience. As an adult, Erika realized that travel can be fairly expensive, therefore she set out to find ways to travel well, but economically. She knew there were others out there, just like her, who desired to travel, but felt it wasn’t affordable. In 2016, Erika created a social media platform with resources to inspire women of color, to travel the world inexpensively. The rest…is history in the making.

This event is part of NEWaukee’s Cloud Cafe brought to you by Ginger Lazovik, Shorewest Realtors and North Shore Bank. The Cloud Cafe is an online platform for connectors and creators to find belonging during this time of unprecedented isolation. Sign up for NEWaukee’s newsletter for weekly updates about new events.
