Deanna Singh is an accomplished author, educator, business leader, and champion for marginalized communities. As the Founder/Chief Change Agent of Flying Elephant, Deanna consults with individuals and companies that are looking to make a positive difference in the world. She is known for giving clients the tools and courage to imagine, activate, and impact the world as agents of change.
A social entrepreneur at her core, Deanna is always at the forefront of social change. She has established and operated multiple social innovations, including the NYC office of LIFT which helps people find a way out of poverty for good; Milwaukee's Street Law Program, an interactive legal program that has taught over a thousand Milwaukee students basic legal knowledge; and Birth Coach Milwaukee, which provides doula services for women who otherwise could not afford them.
Singh earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Fordham University, a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is also the author of two children’s books, I am a Boy of Color, and I am a Girl of Color and a business book, Purposeful Hustle.
Born in Waukegan, Illinois, Emerald Mills is a business strategist, network coordinator and public health professional with almost two decades’ cumulative experience. She served as the School Health Coordinator of the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and has previously worked with non – profit organizations, as well as with entities such as the Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin and the City of Milwaukee Health Department.
Emerald is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, a trainee of the National Coalition Building Institute and a holder of ToP Facilitator Certification. She has leveraged these educational qualifications to benefit her community members, such as by producing and presenting educative presentations and workshops on a range of health – related issues, advising health providers with respect to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of communicable diseases, and administering programs geared towards social change. Collectively, her works have been acknowledged locally and regionally for their innovation in the education and public health sectors.
Prior to the establishment of Diverse Dining Emerald created the WSCC Professional Development Program and co – founded or co – chaired the healthTIDE School Health Team/Equity Committee, CHW School Health Collaborative and MCCOPP, it is evident Emerald will continue to contribute to society through health care and educational public service for the foreseeable future.

You may chuckle at that, but I’ll tell you a secret. My balance of egg-head and non-conforming creativity has served me well. It's given me the pleasure of steering marketing campaigns for organizations of all types — from the smallest non-profits to large Fortune 120 companies. (I’ve even had the honor of working on behalf of a client who was part of a U.S. presidential inauguration. True story!)
In my 20+ year award-winning career one thing has never changed: I have always and will continue to always stand for connection to people… connection to community… and connection to the greater good.

I’m what the kids call a branding junkie. I eat, breathe, and geek it all day, every day. WELL, when I’m not hanging out with my lil’ guy, trying to lift the “I hope you have a kid just like you” curse my mother put on me.
I’ve spent the last five years studying, dissecting, and reverse engineering, cult brands. Everything they do, how they do it, and how it's received.
I’ve become quite the human decoder ring. I just have a sixth sense when it comes to deciphering a brand’s identity, which has helped me hone a battle-tested development system for building (or rebuilding) one from scratch.
Once upon a time (not even 5 years ago) I was far from leading my own cult brand. I was sitting in a beige cubicle at my soul sucking 9-5 contemplating which desk accessory to impale myself with. Yeah, it was extreme but (shameless confession!) I contemplated weirder shit that I thought could get me out of work. That world just sucked my mojo dry!
Today life is staggeringly different and I don't mean the vodka kind of staggering!
I now run my own five-figure (and growing) cult brand in between dance parties, park shenanigans, and potty-training meltdowns. The freedom my life is drenched in these days is quenching like a tall glass of spiked lemonade on a blistering summer day. Damn those drink analogies, I can’t help it.
The icing on that chocolate cake (which coincidentally also happens to be the name of one of my favorite vodka-based shots – look it up!) has been helping so many clients and students develop, strengthen, and grow THEIR OWN legendary brands.
