Claire Koenig joined the VISIT Milwaukee PR team in 2017 after spending five years as an editor at Milwaukee Magazine. At the magazine, she mainly wrote and edited stories about the arts and cultural scene, but was also called on to cover politics, food, dog parks, and diet books when necessary. This delightfully random assortment of stories prepared her well for working with travel writers who are on the hunt for all things wonderful and wacky in Milwaukee, and she’s proud to help them discover the people and personalities who bring the city to life. Since starting at VISIT Milwaukee, she’s worked with hundreds of journalists and influencers to help them tell the best possible stories about the city.
VISIT Milwaukee is a 501c6 destination organization, currently with 32 full-time employees. Our mission is to bring convention and leisure travelers to Milwaukee to fill hotel rooms, thus generating tax revenue for the region. We were founded in 1967.
